| Guitars bodies come in 2 categories...... carved top
and flat top.
If you have a carved type body then you need a 22xx series
or a 7200 Hybrid because those particular trems are designed for a
carved type bodies like a Les Paul has. Most carved type bodies use a Tune-O-Matic style bridge. Our 2200 series
and 7200 Hybrid is made to
attach to these types of Tune-O-Matic mounts. As in all our trems you must route
a 1" inch deep hole in a "T" shape to accommodate the springs underneath the
trem. Some minor drum sticking (stud movement) up to 5/16 of an inch may be
required. A Luthier is highly recommended.
The other type body is a flat top. It simply means the face of the guitar
body is flat as a pancake. The 23xx series or 7300 Hybrid is made for ALL flat top
guitars period! The very versatile 23xx series and
7300 Hybrid can
accommodate any flat surface. It has plenty of intonation travel room and
string spacing to make any guitar player happy. It has a low profile and is
excellent for palm muting. As in all our trems you must route a 1" inch deep
hole in a "T" shape to accommodate the springs underneath the trem.
2330 Flyer
The 2330 Flyer was the OEM tremolo of the 80's. Today it is the X-Trem. The 2330 Flyer is made for ANY flat topped guitar. The 2330 Flyer has been discontinued. Some parts are still available.
2500 Traditional Series
The 2500 Traditional Series and the 2710 Killer are interchangeable with
each other. No other models will work for a direct replacement. These 2 bridges
share a Fender post spacing that is only found on these 2 Kahler fulcrums. The 2500 Series uses reverse posts and hourglass cups. In
other words the post is the knife edge and the trem body holds the hourglass as
opposed to the Floyd type. The 2500 Series has been discontinued. Some parts are still available.
2710 Killer
The 2710 Killer and the 2500 Traditional Series are interchangeable with
The 2710 has been discontinued but we still have a

2720 Spyder
The 2720 Spyder is a stand alone trem that does not have a direct replacement
for it. No other models will work as a direct replacement. The 2720 Spyder uses
a reverse post and hourglass like the 2500 Traditional and the 2710 Killer do.
In other words the post is the knife edge and the trem body holds the hourglass
cup as opposed to the Floyd type. The only alternative is to replace the 2 Kahler knife
edge posts and inserts and use the 2760 Steeler hourglass posts and inserts like
the 2760 Steelers use. Fulcrum spacing found on the Spyder and
Steeler are not the same as a Floyd Rose. The 2720 has been discontinued. Some parts are still available.
2760 Steeler
The 2760 Steeler is not a direct replacement for a Floyd Rose Tremolo and does not share the
same exact stud spacing.
