Many parts of your system such as pickups string gauges, amplifiers and playing style influence sound. However, the bridge material and design provide the most harmonic content. With Kahler® interchangeable cams you have a choice of a fat midrange sound with our Brass Cam, a bright, growling midrange sound with our Aluminum Cam or clear highs and screaming harmonics with our Steel Cam. And all these cams will fit into any Kahler® 2200 Series stud mount and any Kahler® 2300 Series flat mount including the Kahler® Flyer models.

The most important feature about our interchangeable and adjustable cams is that in order to bring the cam back to perfect center and tuning, every cam has 2 highly precision, permanently sealed ball bearings. This ensures a smooth glitch free rotation for a sensitive free-floating feel that stays in tune! The adjustments help keep the arm at the correct angle & height and the strings and springs at the desired tensions.

The cam’s pivot axis generates eccentric leverage, which creates an easy smooth release and tightening of the strings to the maximum drop. (1 Octave +)

Patented cam roller design maintains constant string to pickup height. This provides consistent sound throughout pitch drop and raise.

The Kahler® cam top was designed for maximum harmonic transfer.

The Kahler® Cams top was designed for easy access for adjustment from the top of the cam with an Allen wrench. This can make the adjustments for light, medium or heavy strings.  Also with the arm clutch you can adjust the arm height and spring tension via the spring tension adjustment screw

 All Kahler® cams are equipped with a second arm hole and arm clutch for the optional palm bar or for left hand configurations.

 Better harmonic transfer between the cam and the mounting plate via an inline saddle adjustment and locking system. Also very tight tolerances between the roller and pins of less than .0005” guarantees friction free rollers at the critical witness point and lends to better palm muting because the strings are maintained at a constant height and won’t change pitch. This equates to less breakage, string angle and more string life.  Also constant sound is maintained as the strings do not lift off the witness point.

Interchangeable cams and saddle sets:

 With Kahler® interchangeable cam sets you have a choice of 3 cams to choose from. Each has unique characteristics and sounds. Starting with our newest tremolo, the 2310 “Vindicator”, it uses a 5060T6-7075 aircraft grade Aluminum cam and 360HH brass rollers for a bright growling sound. Our standard model the 2320 Classic uses a 360HH Brass cam and 360HH Brass rollers for its unique dark sound.  And finally our 2300 Profiler cam is made from 1018CRS Steel and has 303 stainless steel rollers that make this a screamer that is used by most heavy metal musicians.

 All of our Kahler® interchangeable and adjustable saddle sets are made with 6 way adjustability. This means total adjustability for every situation. The saddles will move from side to side to match any neck width and string spacing. They will move up and down for perfect radius matching, string height and action. And they will move in and out for easy intonation setting. All of these adjustments can be made easily from the top of the saddle.

 All Kahler® Saddle Sets will fit into any Kahler® 2200 Series stud mount and any Kahler® 2300 Series flat mount including the Kahler® Flyer models.
